We pray today especially for the repose of the soul of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother. Most gracious to strangers, most loving of family, most dutiful to country, most reverent to her God. We thank Our Father for her life and pray that he will receive her to a greater kingdom. May she rest in peace.
This day is turning out to be crammed full. People coming up to me or phoning me all the time with problems. Somehow I seem to be enormously on the ball today and am solving them, despite the fact that I am doing the work of four people today (instead of the usual 2/3).
I really can't stand this job, the more so after television writing dalliances and Cambridge lazing with friends over the end of last week. But the difference between myself and Andrew in the tempwork-hating aspect is that I'm as hard as nails and can take it.
Being more efficient today than yesterday; both at temping work and otherwise. Things to do today: rework sitcom, buy and post two birthday cards, write letters to some friends, edit political satire articles, buy bread, milk, Frosties.
Er... what was I going to type? Oh yes. I reckon James' webcam should be renamed the EmptyChairCam.
Sneaked upstairs earlier to put a sign saying 'Where's Wally?' there but it was too small text to show up and James came back just after I'd placed it anyway.
And now posting from Hanoi. The world's first travelling blog (not including Jenkins') - by which I mean a blog that moves while its bloggers stay in the same place.
